Great tire
I recently put this tire on my 2007 XL883 and it is like driving a new bike. The performance is better than the stock tire that came with the bike new.
Great product.

Great tires for modified FXDX!
I own a 2000 Harley FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport with some extensive engine, carburetor, exhaust, clutch, tranny and brake modifications. Going into 2011 the mileage only reads 22k so the bike hasn't been on many long hauls... but she's had a ton of short, fast, around town runs doing a mix of one-up and two-up cycling. She has 105bhp at the rear and 100 lb/ft of torque. I use to run the standard Dunlops (several sets) that the bike came with but the problem was wear and traction. Seemed like every time I turned around I needed to replace the rear tires (usually two rears for every front replacement). The rear Dunlops constantly needed replacement about every 2000-2500 miles primarily because of all the torque and straight-line pulling power. The front Dunlops just didn't have the "stick" I wanted during cornering and when I applied the front twin disc Brembo brakes.

This is my second "batch" of Avons (two rear and now after another 5000 miles a second front) and I have to say that there is a marked difference in feel, handling, wear and overall traction. Along with the aggressive look of the tires, the handling matches perfectly. I try to stay out of the rain so I cannot tell you how well they perform - there is just too much torque coming off that rear end to test wet conditions head-on. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid :) I highly recommend the Avon brand and tire designation (Venom) to any sport enthusiast who rides for fun and pushes the limits fairly often, but not all the time. Dennis Kirk has been, by far, the best price - hands down - for these tires! Great tires, great website!

Tireless
I'd follow you anywhere.

I first tried a set of Avons over 10 years ago, and the bike felt lighter, effortlessly falling into turns compared to the squared-off whatevers I took off, and I have stayed with them since.

Milage less than others report with other tires but never an issue with the quality, etc or handling IMHO. I tour and twisty and don't mind the milage tradeoff for the feel when turning tight.

SuperTire
Dunlops were adequate,Metzelers were a marked improvement but the AVON is a tire non-pareil ! Handling is GREAT and although tire life is as yet to be determined,it looks quite promising based on 1500 miles of tire use.

New Rubbers
I purchased this tire along with a new rear tire, same brand and similar model, and I'm so glad I chose these tires. My old front tire had decent tread but a far inferior traction, especially on hard curves or smooth surfaces. This tire broke-in easily within 5 miles and makes my bike feel brand-new and look a lot tougher.

Avon Venoms are good handling and good looking tires. I have always been a Metzler fan and probably wiil stay with ME 880's for my touring bike but for my lighter bikes I have been installing Venom's with very good results.
