I’ve been using these filters from Fram for over ten years when doing oil changes on my Kawasaki Ninja 250s and have never had any trouble. Usually the larger O-ring needs a little time to relax back to its normal shape when pulled from the packaging and then it rests in the groove on the filter cover without an issue. I had some trouble with this latest one wanting to fully seat in the groove. When I had finished the oil change and fired up the engine, oil was leaking past the gasket. I dropped and recovered the fresh oil and put the previous gasket back in and that fixed the leak. I still recommend this without question but just make sure the gaskets seat properly and save yourself the hassle.
Great value for the money. It's important to change the O rings when you change the oil. If you have ever priced O rings at the dealer you know they want big bucks for them cause they know you need them.
Guys, I have bought this filter for my 2010 Goldwing and the PH6017A "will not fit". I have tried 2 of them, thinking something may have been wrong with the first one. Anybody else had this problem????
ive put 40000 miles on my 82 kz1000 in the 24 years ive owned it, ive used emgo filters at least 20 years, two years ago i had the engine torn down to be freshened up, the mechanic told me wear was minimal, and told me what ever oil and filters i was useing keep useing them, rings and bearings were stil useable, but installed new ones anyway, thanks johnny
