My sportster's stock mirrors were too short for me to see around my own shoulders. These replacements are about 2" longer than stock and did the trick. The style, fit and finish, and quality are on par with the OE mirrors that I removed.
Bottom line, if you need longer stemmed mirrors and you like the boring OE style mirror, then here they are...
Mounting Thread doesn't match OE on my 2001 Sportster so the turn signal hardware can't be threaded to the bottom of the mirror shaft as in the mirrors that came on the bike. The workaround is to buy the offset turn signal mounting hardware part. Used by the OE on one side for the other handlebar. This adds significant cost to working out a solution.
Bought these mirrors and put them on my motorcycle, after about 1500 miles, the left one broke off while I was riding, I was lucky enough to be able to catch it so it didn't fall to the ground and cause damage to my bike or any other vehicle around me...I will be returning these mirrors.
