I put 12k miles on my stock HD pads, and while they still had some life left, they were making a lot of noise, that I wasn't able to fix no matter what I did. Well, these EBC pads are not only quiet, they perform a whole lot better than stock. They just have an overall better "feel" to them, and are giving me nice, solid, performance. Plus, they are made in the USA, and at the price here on DK, what's not to like about them.
Have noticed reduced lever effort required even before they were bedded in. The power is very controllable too, not like just flipping a switch. The only issue I had was that due to a tire going bad I was unable to get them bedded in before a riding event. I went to the event and while they performed beautifully they did glaze and start squalling worse than a city garbage truck. They glazing and squalling went away after giving them a quick heavy pulse on the way home after they had cooled. They have been quiet since. Since I think this was caused by not having them broke in properly i am not knocking them for that.
Extremely NOISY brake pads. I cleaned the brake rotor and brake caliper with brake cleaner. These pads make a clicking noise while driving down the road. When you apply the brakes, it gets really loud. I should have bought Kevlar brake pads instead of these. I will never buy this type again. BUYER BEWARE!!!
