EBC brake pads contain Aramid fibers, these are man-made high performance fibers, used widely for their light weight, high strength, abrasion resistance and thermal stability. They are used as reinforcements in ballistic protection (bullet---proof helmets and vests, vehicle armor), cut-resistant gloves, aircraft and marine structural parts, power transmission belts and of course friction products where their high strength to weight, thermal stability and abrasion resistance provide advantages over cheaper steel fiber based products.
Strong, predictable brake response and fingertip control
Give you excellent stopping power without noise and rotor galling, even on polished rotors
NOTE: All brake pads and shoes are sold in sets for one disc or drum. Order one set for each disc or drum on your motorcycle NOTE: Never use sintered metal brake pads in bikes originally equipped with non-sintered pads
i installed these on my 99 katana 750 in the rear. i didnt want anything overly "grippy" as the you really dont want the rear locking up. so i opted for these pads as they are better than OEM but not as good as EBC HH's
they have been working flawlessly now, with FAR better braking feel and a slightly better bike than stock!
i would highly recommend these for use in REAR brake's, but would NOT recommend them for fronts!
I've used these pads for over 1 1/2 years now (2 sets)im on my 2nd set i think they are great they work very well wet or dry hot or cold ( i ride year round) fit perfect great price . cant go wrong with these folks
No issues with the fitment. Just need to remember to take the backing clip off of the old pad and put on the new one. I had a shop install these while they replaced a tire and the mechanic did not do it. Thank goodness he gave me back the old pads and I figured out that the scraping noise was due to this...
I looked over various pads for my 06 GSXR 1k. But I went with these for both the front and rear. The brakes after 1 year of riding still have plenty of meat. Good feel and feedback through the lever.
I got more than I expected when I fit up the new pads I received from Dennis Kirk for my BMW K1200LT Elite, The run in was immediate within 3-4 applications of the pedal, These are the pads you want to put on your bike . With the weight of my bike at around 1175 lbs ready for an extended one-up ride, these pads performed flawlessly without any noise, slip, shimmy or problems whatsoever. I consider them a great bargin at the price offered considering the quality with all other sets listing higher also the delivery times were as promised and they even thru in a suprise gift, Overall I am very happy and will continue with them in the near future.
had these on for a few weeks now , very pleased , works fine , clean (no brake dust , spokes stay clean) good fit and finish , good price , DK comes thru again
these brake pads work as good as they say ,i like the organic because of less noise and less wear on the rotor.and they do grip well.i use them on my honda trike , the price is ok ,considering you pay for shipping ,but overall ,ill buy from DK any time .
they grip just the right amount for ppl who use there front brake alot. brake in time took alittle bit longer than i would have liked. durring brake in time they squeel at slower speeds. also brake dust is at a minimum with these. i went on a 200 mile ride mostly city miles with stop and go traffic so the front brake was used alot and i didnt see any brake dust at all. over all its just a good product.
The description does not list the applications correctly so double check your getting the right part. (It would be nice if DK would bother to fix this)
This was my first time replacing brake pads on a motorcycle, and i would say that they fit very nicely, and work exceptionally well. The front pads grab beautifully, and the rears need some adjustment yet. One issue i ran into while installing was runs in the paint on the sides of the pads. Had to scrape the paint with a razor to remove the paint so the pad will float in the caliper. Otherwise its a great product.
I'm happy with the brake pads. I installed them right befor a 1500 mile trip. Very little noise and great stopping power. I had the shipped to me, I thought the shipping price was a bit high though.
Installed these on the front of my 2003 Sportster. Easy install, good fit, and no noise after short ride to wear in pads. These pads stop way better than the originals!
These pads were for my 2006 honda Rebel 250 and fit perfectly just like the original factory pads I replaced. They are very good quality and well worth the money.
First time used ..seem to be ok..will see how well they wear...hard to believe bike brakepads are more expensive than car pads and half as big.?!?...lol
