The Air Resources Board (ARB) does not permit the use of aftermarket emission-related parts that alter the air/fuel ratio of an emission-controlled vehicle. Due to these legal restrictions this part cannot be shipped to California.
I bought this kit after installing a exhaust on my 07 honda VTX 1300. I found it remarkably easy to install. It increased my throttle response and fuel mileage more than I expected! I was very happy with everything that Dennis Kirk did.
I put the stage one kit in my wife's stock 2005 Suzuki S40 single cylinder 650 trying to eliminate the constant backfiring while shifting or shutting it off. IT WORKS AWESOME !!!!! Just went for a 50 mile ride and only popped once while shifting and NOT when she shut it off. The kit had many options for different stages, I only used the stage 1 parts. Very simple & straightforward install. Needed no other parts. Took about 45 minutes. Definitely worth the price for me !!!!!
Product is very good, however the directions need a lot to be desired. If you have never done a re-jet before find a good website online that walks you through it. It is very easy, but the directions included with this product is pretty weak. The product itself is very good.
I bought a 2007 V-Star 1100 and the guy who owned it before me put after market pipes on it with out a jet kit. The pipes sounded great but it had excessive backfiring. After I installed the jet kit, every bit of the back firing dissappeared.....Thanks Dennis Kirk and DynoJet.
I bought this kit for my rf900r suzuki. It opened my bike up and gave me the power i was lookn for. I have never installed one before but found the instructions easy to follow and this made for a clean easy install. would recomend this for any bike lover it is well worth the price for the gains.
I guess this is a good kit.The reason i said that is because i didn't use all of it.The air/fuel tool would slip on the air/fuel screw, i had to bend the flat edge to make it work.I did what is called the scar mod,you can look it up on the vtx forums. I used the spring out of this kit and put one shim under the stock needle and turned the air fuel screw in and back out 2 1/2 turns and my bike is running good.I also cut part of the tit under the needle holder cap the way the scar mod said to. Hope this helps someone.
This kit was just what the doctor ordered for my bike after I installed my Vance & Hines pipes. It was fairly easy to install if you are mechanically inclined, otherwise let your shop do it for you. The power increase is noticable.
This Stage 1 jet kit is awesome. I installed it on my '02 Shadow Spirit VT1100C and instantly felt a difference. The bike starts up immediately, the acceleration is very fluid and this has cured any decel popping I once had. I highly recommend this kit for anyone looking to smooth out their power band and let the full potential of their engine come to life!
I put these on my 93 virago 1100 with jardine rumblers. Installation was fairly straight forward. I found it odd that the hole in the new jets (mine came with 2x110 and 2x114) was smaller than the stock jets, but the needle shape and position must make up for that.
Spent 3 years pulling the carbs, cleaning and installing. Finally, used an ultrasonic cleaner and changed jets. Wow. What an improvement. Easy starts, no long warmup. Much less popping on decel. Guy before us changed pipes but never rejected. Works great now. Note that kit did not come with springs.
