Do you hate points and condensers? Are they a bane upon your existence? Have they left you cold and wet on the side of a dark road miles from nowhere? Well friend these are for you. Dyna is a bolt in replacement for really old tech with some not-so old tech. Say bye-bye to setting the gap and cleaning them or to any kind of up keep. Never needs adjustment after initial install. Kick that old points plate to the curb and let it think about what it's done!

Only one hangup

I'd give it a thumbs up on every aspect except for quality control. I happened to get one that only worked on one side. Had to send it back to get another to replace it . Other than that its worth the upgrade to a bike.

Solves ignition problems

The timing on my 1975 Honda CB550K was impossible to set properly -- always too advanced at the end of the adjustment, even with new points. Tried changing the gap, but nothing worked. The Dyna S ignition solved the problem immediately. Timing is spot on and advances exactly as it should. Please note that the Dyna set uses more power than points, even with stock 5 ohm coils. Check your charging system and make sure you have a good battery installed. It's not a bad idea to put a Dyna-equipped older bike on a maintenance charger for a few hours before every ride.
