How do you tell how many ohms your dynamic coil is?
Kim B on Aug 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You need a digital ohm meter to do this. Make damn sure the coil is disconnected out off the circuit when checking ohms, cause if it gets any current it will fry your meter.
Set your meter to read ohms & touch the leads to the 2 small posts. The meter should read out the ohms, eg: 1.5 - 3 - 5 etc. There are several informative videos on U tube about testing coils. A lot of times when I need some help I either type in the question in the search bar or use U tube. Either method will work & there is a lot of information posted on how-to-do-stuff. paul

ps, I've seen coils that are marked & then others aren't, also some coils have the post marked with the plus & minus & others don't.
