Duro tires

April 30, 2013

Spring has finally come to upstate NY where I live. This tire mounted a lot easier than it's counterpart on the front! The first ride was a bit squirrely but some tires are. After getting it mounted and aired up, I really liked the look of it! I've only put about 150 miles on it but so far, I really like how it feels through the seat. I'm also trying Dyna Beads for balancing this year! I put about 90 miles on today and I could feel a change in the way my Cavalcade handled after running them in!! The first long distance ride is coming up in a couple of weeks. I'll know for sure then how this tire works. So far, I'm very satisfied with the $$ I spent on this and it's mate on the front.

Duro bias ply tire

March 29, 2012

I bought this tire for the rear of my 1984 Goldwing. It has only been on the bike for a few days so I don't know how the mileage will be. Since the tire has been on the bike the ride has been smooth and seems to handle the curves fairly well. Have not ridden in the rain yet so don't know what the wet traction will be like. The tire I just removed was a Shinko and only got 4,200 miles and it was slick!! Hopefully this tire will do better than that!

GOOD TIRE FOR THE PRICE!!!

May 29, 2010

This tire is not a tire that will get you lots and lots of miles. On my 1985 Kawasaki Vulcan VN700A-1, it will go around 9-10,000 miles of laid back, easy riding. Some riders may get more, others may get less. I ride year around as long as there is no ice or snow on the roads. I have had this tire in some torrential downpours and the softer rubber that it is made of will NOT let go of the road, as long as you ride smart. Traction has never been an issue with this tire. For an inexpensive, minor brand tire, this tire is well worth the money if you just need a reliable tire that should easily get you through two or three seasons of 'average' riding.
