Have been using them exclusively for about 6 years or so on both bikes (ride exclusively, don't own a cage)...EXCELLENT mileage and ride...have run them on both my VTX 1800N (about 900 lbs of bike) and now run them on my Electra Glide Classic...I get, on the average, of about 15,000 miles on a read and almost 20,000 on the front...
Can't say enough about how great these are...HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a high mileage tire that gives a good ride!
I've been through one Elite 3 on the rear already, so when I needed another rear I decided to replace my front also since it was almost done for as well. The rear got about 8k out of it, and I am heavy on the throttle. So far the front feels great as well, although I haven't put many miles on it yet.
I had a set of Dunlop Elite 3 tires on a VTX 1800. They had excellent handling and wear characteristics, but were fairly noisy. They sounded like electricity flowing through overhead lines, or a population of cicada bugs. Because they performed well on the VTX, I figured I would try one on the front of my Yamaha Raider. Additionally, the past four sets of tires had a bias ply front, as there is a limited selection of 21" radials. I have not put many miles on this new tire yet, but I believe the noise issue came from the rear Elite 3, as I did not notice it during the initial ride following mounting.
