This spark plug has a screw-on type adapter that vibrated loose and caused the engine to misfire once warmed up. After much unsuccessful troubleshooting, I took this in to the dealer and paid over $200 for the troubleshooting and labor for them to wind up swapping out the plugs. The screw-on adapter on the top of this plug needs to be in the product description! I do NOT recommend any product that is susceptible to malfunction through normal use.
I bought my bike used, and never thought to pull the plugs. Lesson learned as i will from now on. Was having a service done, and we all were surprised to find that 1 of these plugs we could not get out of the head. the other came out, but there is thread damage in the head as well as the plug. Not sure if they were installed improperly (how hard is it to hand screw in plugs) or if the threads dont really match OEM specs. Sadly i will be pulling heads at the end of the season to repair significant damage
I bought a set and was wondering why one plug has a red ring around it by the bolt head and the other has a blue ring around it? I thought the red one would be for the rear cylinder and the blue for the front. Not sure though.
