To change over to points style ignition, Im going to have to change my coil...right?

BEST ANSWER: Possibly, try it with stock coil but if you have misfires you'll need to go to hotter coil.
What wires do I run to advance in nose cone .is it the white one or the pink one?

BEST ANSWER: I didn't use the point set up. I just needed the fly weight to convert from screaming eagle. Google for a diagram

BEST ANSWER: dont use it. mine was out of round, causing problems. i sent it back. buy a spring kit for yours instead.

Reliable back up option
I bought the DS-242299 Advance Unit Assembly for my 1990 FLSTC as a back up when the ignition module goes bad (mine had at the time I bought this). Everything you need (- the coil) to make your bike run is here to replace an electronic ignition. This kit comes with everything you see in the picture; breaker plate, points, condenser, wire, and advance mechanism. I soldered the connections of the wires. The end for the points will fit through the hole in the case with the female end on it. Everything fit and works perfect and the bike runs great with a 5ohm coil. I purchased the Dyna S ignition system as the main source of spark for this bike (DSK6-1 comes with 5ohm coil). The point/condenser are a on the road back up, I hate being stranded and this unit can be installed with a few basic tools.

this is a decent conversion set, if you have a little mechanical ability its a simple install, the points are on the cheaper side but work fine, just make sure surfaces are clean at points of contact, happy with this conversion set. thanks D.K.

The cam lobes are about 10 degrees off compared to an OEM cam. It makes timing very difficult. Also, the points assembly itself is out of round and flimsy. It worked for about a day, then failed.
