Having used both brands now, this center jack is every bit as good as the higher priced brand, and is perfect for the home mechanic! I bought this to rebuild my Road King after an accident ( little old man ran into me at a stop sign). so right from the start I was able to put it through some normal paces that a jack like this would be used in a professional style environment. first I disassembled the rear end, and using my new center jack made quick and easy work of this procedure., which also included replacement of driveline components, and realignment of driveline. Then rebuilding of front end, new fender, rebuild front forks. All in all, this center jack is every bit as good as the more expensive brand, I highly recommend to anyone who works on motorcycles, home mechanic or professional!
The jack was one of the highest price listed but it is made in the USA so, not an issue. I prefer to buy American. The initial view of the jack was excellent. It looked and felt like a quality jack. I read the info provided with the jack and used it over the weekend. It performed like professional mechanic equipment. Solid, sturdy and safe. I am so glad I purchased this model over the cheap models listed. This is a "must have" for bikers without a garage and limited storage. I fully recommend this Drag Spacialites jack. Made in America, bought for an American motorcycle, by a true American.
This jack was the greatest jack for removing the engine from my Honda Valkyrie. 6cyl. with a lot of weight the jack was still effortless for the jack to lift and go down. It was well balanced and easy to slide into a position to pull the rear cases...
This jack is heavy enough to sit firmly on the floor and wide enough for use on most bikes. I have a middle weight Yamaha with 2 into 1 exhaust which run under the engine but with a few well placed wooden blocks I can raise it up with no problem.
