Is it a law to have running lights up front, as I know on my 2018 Fat Bob my turn signals also function as a running lights. Since this item only functions as a blinker, I'm curious if it's street legal?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Depends on your state. Because most states require motorcycles to burn their headlights at all times, they generally don't require DRLs. As for these being street legal, again it depends on your state. I don't think they are DOT approved. Here in Hawaii, I'll have to reinstall the stock lights when I go to get my bike inspected.
Still having trouble understanding what this item is. Is it a blinker / turn signal, OR is it an always on when the bike is running solid marker light??? Thanks for the clarification.

BEST ANSWER: Single-function high-intensity amber LEDs with smoke lenses
Can be used as turn signal or running light, not both
How do you make these work since they're not plug and play?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They need to be hard wired in

Stealthy blinkers!
Amazing so far! I wish they were running lights as well but for the size and price I cannot ask for more!

These ROCK!
The turn signals are basically perfect. They virtually disappear into the handle bar controls. Installation was straight forward, but does require some effort as you have to remove the gas tank to wire them up. Like most LEDs, they do cause a fault code in your BCM and rapid flashing of the dash indicator, but the signal itself works just fine. Custom Dynamics makes a CANbus adapter to fix this that costs like $5. One thing to remember though is that they are not DOT compliant, so depending on your state, you may have to change them out come inspection time.
