is the screen metal or plastic ?
A shopper on Nov 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is a metal screen stretched over a plastic frame
does it take vacuum?
A shopper on Jul 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No it does not. I ordered this part for my 97 Sportster and couldn't use it because it did not have the vacuum port.
It's 22mm to mount to the tank but what is the 3/8" NPT used for? Is it 3/8" male out or 3/8" barb out to attach the fuel line?
Chris J on Apr 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't see where 3/8" NPT is mentioned for this petcock. The fuel outlet barb is either 1/4" or 5/16" (I don't remember which). The tank mount is 22mm, as you mentioned.

Leaked a little
This one was probably a one-off, but when switching the gas on, it seeped constantly -- not so much that it was dripping down on the carb, but noticably.
