My bike is a 1978 KZ1000A. At 32 years of age and 24000 miles of use it has reached the point where it does occasionly need to have a part replaced. I want the best parts and always strive to up-grade anytime I replace something. I consulted experienced mechanics and read reviews. The D.I.D. chain came highly recomended, and has the highest wear index. 70's Kawasakis came with an endless chain, and I was leary of using a chain with a master link until I learned that Top Fuel bikes ran them. The clip master link instals easily and seems very secure. After 500+ miles of riding the chain has not stretched, and I feel safe running it. Overall, a quality unit.
