I did no carb mods or adjustments and the bike (2013 Suzuki DR650) runs so much stronger now. It revs quicker and had a "seat of the pants" difference that you can definitely feel.
The exhaust is much louder and has the usual "pop" on decel that is associate with my bike, but is much more noticeable now. DG makes silent cores that can be installed to quiet the bike down considerably. They make 5 or 6 sizes for different sound levels, but I don't have one yet.
The only hiccup that I had was the center bolt to the frame was a bit messed up and had to be re-tapped to accept the bolt that came with the muffle. Not sure if that was more and issue with the bolt or the captured nut, but it was easy to fix.
This was approximately $75 cheaper by going through Dennis Kirk, than it was anywhere else, even Amazon. And shipping was free and fast to Michigan.
Not sure if this will attach, but I did a short comparison video between the stock exhaust and the DG. The video doesn't do justice to how nice and throaty it sounds.
