The plate was a breeze to put on, i wish it came with hex head bolts for it, nice and thick metal, should never be damaged. if you want looks you should go somewhere else, but if you just want to keep your chain and sprocket intact then this is deff a winner.
I had to file the factory washers to fit the new skid plate but it cannot compare to the factory skid plate in terms of protection. It offers a little more clearance than the factory skid plate but you still lose over an inch compared to not having a plate. I no longer worry about any breakage for hitting anything laying on the trail. It takes a good hit and does not get damaged itself.
You have to unblot the sprocket to install this not to big a deal and I managed to get it on without taking off the brake rotor but the nich on the top was on the wrong side for the chain so I had to cut a nich with a grinder on the opposit side so the chain didn't drag on it. Nice thick aluminum but not $120 worth.
