2 Thumbs Up!
I put the Danny Grey Airhawk Solo Seat on my 2003 Yamaha Road Star 1600 and I love it. The install was super easy and fits just like a stock seat. I love the look of it on my bike. The stitching makes it look totally custom. The inflate and deflate "buttons" are on the side of the seat and are easy to operate. It's hard to describe but I do not pump it up all the way full. I keep it inflated just enough so you are "floating" on the air. If your butt starts to get tired you can inflate or deflate to get a different feel. I have not had to do this yet, it just feels that comfortable to me. So far I haven't taken it on any 300 mile trips but I have done 100-200 mile ones and it's been great. I have a garage wall full of all the brand name high dollar seats that claimed to offered me relieve from that tail bone ache, from the Ultimate Seat, Mustang, Corbin, PCS etc.. Not one of them worked for me after 60+ miles my tail bone was in agony but not with the Danny Grey Airhawk Seat. It is the most comfortable seat I have. If I had to pick out a negative, I would say I wish there were more airbags built into the seat. Right now there are 2. But they seem to be doing the job just fine but I figure more would be even better. Although, they do say it has good airflow through the seat, I think for longer New Jersey swampbutt summer rides, I may add the sheep skin just add a few more miles to my ride. And yes, it is expensive but I think my butt is worth it. I can now stop adding to an expensive collection of seats that just sit on my garage wall. Now if I could just find the perfect helmet! This girl gives the Danny Gray Airhawk seat 2 thumbs up!
