Only two things wrong with this piece, but depending on what housing you're putting it in it may or may not affect you: first, it wouldn't fit into the tombstone assembly I have without removing the bracket completely from the panel; secondly I had to install another small socket and bulb to shed light up out of the license plate light lens located on top of the J&P tombstone I have, neither was a big problem. Brother has a factory HD tombstone and it fits in that without any modifications. The lights are super bright and I'm not worried about being seen like when I was running an 1157 LED bulb. Overall this is well worth installing even if you have to make the modifications.
These are super bright and a worthy replacement for the OEM style bulb in the tombstone on my '99 FLSTS Springer Harley. Only problem, and it was a big problem, was that the thin metal bracket that holds the LED panel in place did not fit inside my OEM HD tombstone housing. I could have just stuck it in and torqued down the screws, but it would have left gaps for moisture and dust and likely would have cracked the housing. It was a seriously bad fit that no amount of bending or tweaking would change. It was just way too big. So I removed the metal bracket entirely and threw it away. I then used silicone to simply glue the LED panel in place in the housing, while holding it in position with toothpicks (that I removed before assembly). I also did a mock dry assembly, to make sure the LED panel didn't hit the bulb housing behind it. It was a pretty tight fit, but now it works like a charm and I know people behind me can definitely seen when I brake. That is peace of mind. The LEDs are supposedly guaranteed for life by the manufacturer, though I'm not sure if I voided that warrantee.

What is the warranty on this item? The manufacturer's website says it has a lifetime warranty against LED failure. Does that also hold true if I buy through Dennis Kirk and, if so, where would I send it if an LED failed? Thanks.
