tire mounting difficulties

July 18, 2011

This is probably the 4th or 5th of this type tire I have purchased. (riding the same bike for 32 years). Every other tire mounted quickly and easily and popped out to the bead with out any problems. This tire refused to seal and pop over the bead. I worked for several hours before giving up and taking it to a motorcycle shop. They went through the same hassles and ultimately ended up putting a tube in what is supposed to be tubeless tire. This tire was made in Korea, not Germany where all the other tires were made. Obviously something changed when production moved. Ride and handling appears to be the same as the old model. Durability is yet to be seen. Based on the old model I would give it a 5 star rating, with something changed I can only give it a 2 at most.

I wouldn't recommend this item to a friend.
