I ride a 1985 BMW R80 air head , choices for front tires are slim ,with 90/90-18 , I opt for this set of Conti Go's 120/90-18 for the rear , What a difference new tires made for an old bike , smooth ride ,like a new bike reborn , What a joy to ride again , very safe ride , handles great ! If you want new tires for an older BMW with an 18" front , this is a great choice !
Always run the Dunlop or Metz. After I put this brand on my bike I never looked back. This tire does not wash out in the CORNERS. Good milage and performance in all weather. Tread design looks good on the bike aswell.
Put these on a few weeks ago and have since taken two 500+ mile trips on the weekends, I used to run Conti-Twins on my 1975 Honda CB750K and these, to me, are definately a step up. My bike held the corners better, felt better on the highway was just all around nicer. Great tires and they wont break the bank.
I'm relatively new to riding and these are the first new tires I've ever ridden on. I put a set of these on my 1983 Kawasaki GPz 750 last year and have about 1500 miles on them riding everything from twisties to interstates and like them enough that I just bought a set for my 1977 BMW r100/7.
These went on my '78 KZ650 Cafe bike and are great! To find an inch pattern tire that grips this well and maintains the classic sizing is great. If your bike can't take radials and you want the correct handling for your classic bike look no further.
Not possible to write a review for a tire that has been on the bike for a week. Thus far as with previous continental tires it has performed perfectly and I expect to get the usual four seasons out of it being a front tire.
Installed the tire a few weeks ago. Looks good, Mounted well, appears well made and is reasonably priced. I have 1500 miles on the tire now. It has good grip, seems fine in the rain.
For a commuter tire, the tire wear is dismal. It's over half worn doing 40 miles one way commuting (speeds 40-70) on a lightweight, low powered motorcycle (Moto Guzzi V7) I hoped for more. Despite the reasonable purchase price, the cost per mile will be very high.
