Mounting Hardware Failure

I recently had my snowmobile trailer sand blasted and powder coated. I wanted something to protect my ramps from the carbides. I purchases two boxes of these, one for the front ramps and one for the rear. One box came with philips head screws and the other box came with torx head screws. I drilled the 11/64" pilot hole just like the directions recommended. The philips screws went in with no problems. I used all of them up and went to the torx head screws. The 3rd screw I went to put in broke off. I figured a defective screw until the 6th one did it. Then the 7th. Turns out that about half of the screws I tried broke off. I see this in one other review so I don't think I just got a bad cast of screws. Might not hurt to have extra screws or even different screws on hand if you are intending on using all that are supplied.

Nice!

Very nice product, can't wait to try them. Look like they will last a long time. 4 stars on value & quality because if you are not careful the heads on the stainless screws strip out. Tried four different drivers tips and three different size drill bits.

Ramp Slides

They have been the best that I could find to buy for my sled deck. I would buy them again for the money.

Excellent, but just a chunk of plastic, right?

These worked perfectly on my tri-fold aluminum ramp that I use for my snowmobile -- runners for the skis on each side and for some traction up the middle. Installation was very easy with the self-tapping screws and they are sturdy and well-built. The only thing I wish were better was the price. Each one of these is just a molded piece of plastic, so why the $38 price tag for a set of 16? I would hope they would only cost about half that. Oh well, enough whining -- they work great and I'm very happy with them.
