What would the load limit be on these shocks?
Butch on Aug 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: In contacting Burly, the load limit should equate the Total Capacity of the motorcycle the shocks are listed for. As long as you are using the correct kit for your model. If more information is needed contact Burly Direct:

I bought a budget drop kit for my ‘11Electra glide Classic but thee exhaust scraps when turning. It says you can drop up to 2 1/2” which I need being vertically challenged. Does this kit effect the stock ground clearance?
Ray L on Jun 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: AMY time you lower a bike it will affect ground clearance unfortunately
fully loaded will these hold 600 lbs, and not bottom out?
Baloo on Apr 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No
I have a 1999 HD EG-UC, what about bottoming out? With 2 up, about 500LBS loaded.

Great kit
This is an awesome kit very easy to install. Iput this on my 08 Street Bob its very quick as long as you have a motorcycle jack. You also need an 1 3/8 wrench for the fork cap. You also may need to modify the kickstand because with it lower it doesnt lean over far enough to be sturdy.

Perfect fit
The best and quickest complete suspension kit I have used. Add to that the brilliant blend of chrome and black for a perfect kit and a great price from Dennis Kirk

FYI
This is a great and really accessible product, an easy beginner mod for your bike-- just beware, this is for the Burly part number b28-1001b which includes all-black shocks, not the chrome over black as shown in the picture. The chrome over black would be Burly part b28-1001 which isn't offered on denniskirk.com. I was kind of 50/50 about which to get, since my bike is black and chrome and actually had decided I wanted the chrome ones pictured, but then I received black. LOL, I did a little research and now I see why. Oh well, it was a split decision for me anyway, but could be a much bigger deal if you are definitely looking for the chrome look.

Slammer Kit
This kit really looks good and helps my girlfriend touch flat foot on her new superlow. Install was very easy, but instructions didn't say how much to cut off the pvc spacers. Took a guess and it turned out perfect. Bike looks great with the rear wheel tucked up under the fender.

Easy east easy
Of all the stuff I've done to my bike, this was the easiest. the Whole operation took 20 minutes. Make sure you have the correct socket or wrench to remove your fork caps and remember they are under a lot of spring pressure so be careful. Only thing is that the bike came out REALLY LOW. I'm bottoming out a lot so it feels like a rigid.

Slamming Sportster 1200C
Easy to install, great instructions (video). You need a low profile jack like a scissors jack. A hydraulic is to high after lowered.

Very Pleased
I bought this kit to lower my '04 1200C and the parts fit great without any mods. The quality of material was very top notch. Lowered my bike right where I wanted it. Took me about 15 minutes for the whole thing.
