Bad Ass Pipes!
I have been looking for some new Pipes for my 2013 Triumph Thunderbird Storm 1700 ABS for about 6 months. These were the first ones I came across and I had read several reviews that they were nice pipes. I finally took the leap and bought them. I just installed them over the weekend and ran into a few bumps but nothing terrible. First off, the band clamps were too big. I tightened them as far as they would go and wouldn't even snug up. So I wrapped some muffler hanger around the pipe and boom, tight. Also, the bolt that attached the pipe to the frame was too big, I just used the stock bolt and it worked just fine.
All installed...time for a test. Started it up and wow a nice deep rumble. Daddy likes!
Let's go for a ride. Starting out it has a nice deep throated rumble. Traveling at normal speeds it just sounds nice...
Let's crack the throttle and see what happens???
HOLY BALLS... I sounded like a Funny car doing the quarter mile...
If you want to make some noise, these pipes are your answer.
Very happy with them!
They look nice and they reduce the weight pretty significantly. Also, I had VERY little backfire popping. Will continue to ride and see how it does, but so far, no issues.
