This is my 3rd set of Bridgestone spitfire S11 and I have had really good luck with these tires. Delivery time is really good. Best tire on the market. And the price is reasonable also will continue to buy Bridgestone.
Bought it for the previous reviews. Although we don't see much rain, the tire was rated high on traction and wear. Yet to install it on my bike but, I'm looking forward to longer lasting than my first replacement, A dunnie OEM tire that gave me little over 12K miles so far. Best price I found online and VERY fast delivery, it even arrived in a box! My first purchase from Dennis Kirk and are very satisfied with their service and customer service. Highly recommended.
This is the second S11 rear tire on my Suzuki C50. The S11 gives a good ride and has excellent wet and dry grip. I will be trying an S11 on the front position when my current tire needs replacing. Top value tire and first rate service from Dennis Kirk.
Was shopping for new tires and found this deal. First time order with Dennis Kirk. Very pleased with site. Search by Bike (lets you know recommended OEM) or size. Good results, easy navigation, fast shipping, great packaging in box including return labels if needed. Was replacing some Metzler 180-70-15. This tire, although a 170 is much wider and taller,,,, nearly too wide (1/4 " clearance each side) for my bike (08 Yamaha Royal Star Venture). Almost would not fit and I was about to leave on a 600 mile ride!!!! At first was not sure about it then spent the next 600 miles and 2 days riding including some high speed sweepers and tight twisties in the Texas Hill country (3 sisters) WOW very impressed! Ride is great, very stable, no wandering even on uneven pavement. Started trip on interstate and even at excessive speeds 100+ very stable, not fast to respond but confidence inspiring. Then we hit the twisties the next day. Let's just say very impressed, be sure to pick your line! No matter the tilt you will follow it just not as easy to make mid corner corrections. We are advanced riders taking it to the limit far beyond what most touring bike riders experience (posted speedX2 plus 5 for you crotch rocket guys). If performance is your goal these tires have it. Tread depth is over 7mm, more than any other tire I have purchased. Don't understand or like the fact that rear tire does not have a center rain groove like the matching front tire! Tire is very aggressive in appearance looks a lot like what you would see on a dual sport race bike and very pronounced raized lettering. Not sure I like that look on my Royal Star tourer. Looks massive if you like that.... it is growing on me. Will update post when I see what the wear performance is. In the end, to my door and on the bike ( I remove and take both wheels and tires to a local shop for mounting and balance $42) I spent less than $200 for both front and rear! Oh yea!!!!!! some extra ching for future trips can ya beat that?
This tire works great on my Shadow 1100. It is fairly cheap n looks pretty good. It makes a slight noise when I lean a bit but not enough to annoy me. I haven't been able to put many miles on them yet but they are holding up good so far. If they keep perfroming the wat they do now I'm definately purchasing them agein.
