between the layers of the Klim layering system followed by videos to help better understand how this system can benefit you.<\/p>\n<h5>Klim Base Layers<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Having a base layer that performs well is key to the success of your layering system.\u00a0 The base layer, which is closest to your skin, is there to regulate body temperature and to wick moisture away from your body.\u00a0 Nobody likes riding hard only to be drenched in sweat and freeze from all of the moisture on your skin\u00a0once you slow down. \u00a0Many people worry about the extra bulk when style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of the mid layer is to create heat retention.\u00a0 Think of this layer as your insulation layer.\u00a0 By creating a pocket of warm air around your body, the mid layer is able to hold your body heat in.\u00a0 A good mid layer will also be moisture wicking to further remove the moisture from your skin.\u00a0 With the Klim Everest series, you get all of these qualities.\u00a0 The articulated patterning of the Everest mid layer allows it to fit between the outer shell and base layer with no bulking.\u00a0 It is made with Arctic Fleece, which allows it to be water and windproof.\u00a0 If the elements make it to your inner layers, then the whole system could fail, so it is important to have a high quality shell.\u00a0 Though it needs to keep the elements out, this layer should also be able to vent out moisture and excess body heat when needed.\u00a0 It also needs to fit properly over the inner layers to allow for ease of movement. \u00a0Because of the base and mid layers, you do not need your outer layer to be insulated. \u00a0Without the added insulation in the outer shell, you will have a greater range of motion without bulking. \u00a0You can also adjust your base and mid layers to accommodate that changing temperatures and activity levels that you will encounter throughout a ride. \u00a0These shells work perfectly
