Thor offers the Reflex in either a carbon fiber or fiberglass composite shell, depending on which model you go for. Both options feel lightweight but substantial in hand. The shell might appear a little larger than some others in the same size class, but there\u2019s a reason for that. All the built-in safety tech adds a bit to the shell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the surface is where Thor packs in the real value. This helmet uses a dual-density EPS liner embedded with Koroyd\u00ae \u2013 the honeycomb material designed to crush on impact and manage energy more efficiently than traditional foam. The liner and cheek pads are moisture-wicking, fully removable, and washable. More importantly, they\u2019re comfortable without hugging your head too tightly. Contact points seem spaced out, which might feel different at first, but it gives the helmet an airy, breathable feel. And for emergency situations, the cheek pads have quick-release pull tabs built in, which is crucial for keeping your dome as stable as possible after a crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rounding out the features is the classic D-ring retention system. It\u2019s simple, race-approved, and easy to operate even with gloves on.
