Originally founded as an auto parts store, Bell Auto Parts first appeared in 1923. It would be another 31 years, in 1954, before they produced their first helmet. You won’t hear much about Bell Auto Parts anymore, helmets have long since been their specialty. And through all of their years as helmet specialists, they have developed some of the industry’s highest quality helmets. The helmets you see here are the culmination of more than 60 years of R&D, and we are proud to present their newest and safest helmets to date.
The Eliminator line of helmets combine simple, sleek design with cutting edge technology to offer you some of the best head protection on the market. These helmets are outfitted with EPS speaker pockets, an antibacterial liner, and contoured cheek pads, all packed into a light-weight, DOT approved helmet. With a ton of styles to choose from at a great price, these helmets make for a great option for a wide variety of riders.
Star MIPS Helmets
The Bell’s Star helmet line was the first full face helmet line ever produced. But while Bell’s Star helmet line might be old, It is far from outdated. Bell’s newest Star helmets come outfitted with state of the art safety technology, technology that goes by the name of MIPS. What is MIPS, you say? We are glad you asked. Put simply, it’s slip-plane technology found in the helmet that helps reduce rotational force from impact. Put even simpler, it’s valuable safety technology that you’ll be glad to have in the instance of a crash. These helmets are a great way to show your brain that you care.
The Race Star Flex helmets pack more brilliant safety tech into Bell’s 3K carbon shell. They have a three layer impact liner that’s been designed to assist in energy displacement for low, medium, and high speed impact. The helmets have been designed in two different shapes; the race-view, perfect for a compact riding position, and the street-view, for a more upright touring position. Wearing a helmet that is specially catered to your riding position can go a long ways for increasing comfort and overall satisfaction during your next ride.
You could buy the nicest helmet in the world, but it won’t do an ounce of good if you don’t actually wear it. No matter where you go, no matter how short the drive, put your helmet to use every ride. And just because you are wearing one of the safest helmets on the market doesn’t mean that you need to test it! Helmets are like insurance; you’ll be glad to have it when things hit the fan, but you don’t want to use it if you don’t have to.
The best thing about Bell’s helmet selection is that no matter what you choose, you can’t go wrong. That being said, certain helmets are undoubtedly better suited for certain situations and certain riders. So, If you have any questions on the helmets above, let us know in the comments below! Thanks for reading, stay safe out there.
