Riding motorcycles is our passion and we want to share it with the ones we love.  For riders who have children, getting them on a bike is only a natural want.  But how young is too young to start your children riding and how do you know when they are ready?  Honda Powersports offers training classes for kids ages six and up at the Colton Rider Education Center.  But are all kids ready at the same age? No one knows your child better than you, and if you think about the abilities necessary to be able to ride safely, you will be able to determine when your child is ready.  Some children will undoubtedly be able to handle a bike at an earlier age than others, while […]

With over 500 brands related to Harley parts in Dennis Kirk’s inventory, the options to add to your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle are endless.  So where do you start?  There are so many things to look at, so how do you give priority to what you want to do to your bike?  This article will hopefully help you sort out which HD parts to get first. The reason we love Harleys is because we love to hit the open road and go for a ride, but if the ride isn’t comfortable, then it might not be as pleasurable as we hope.  That’s why I’m going to give top priority to Harley parts that make your bike fit you and make your bike more comfortable.  Everyone has a different body […]

Understand the Phenomena of Accessorizing with Honda Aftermarket Accessories For a lot of guys, it’s hard to see why some women love accessorizing so much.  They spend hours at the mall looking for those perfect little shiny objects to make their outfit “pop.”  For those of us who pick out what we’re going to wear by taking whatever is on top of the clothes pile, it’s just hard for us to understand.  But, we don’t need a fancy psychological study to get insight on the phenomena of accessorizing.  If we look into our own world, we can find one prime subject to understand their fascination.  Look no further than the Honda Goldwing!  This machine is built for Honda aftermarket accessories.  The Goldwing is capable of so many […]

Fall is on it its way, but there is still plenty of time to head out on a long motorcycle ride.  Maybe you want to head out on a long trip, but you just don’t think that you’re body can handle it.  Riders who have AirHawk seat cushions don’t use that excuse anymore.  They just get on their bikes and ride comfortably.  AirHawk, with their original design and technology, guarantees that your ride time will be doubled. Their slogan “Ride on Air,” certainly holds up.  Each seat is made with soft and flexible air cells that are inner-connected.  The genius of this design is that when you move, it moves with you.  It is always conforming to your shape.  The transfer of air between the cells evenly […]

We all love that sweet rumble of a Harley exhaust.  That’s why so many of us riders choose to customize our bikes by putting on a performance aftermarket exhaust, like a system from the lineup of Vance and Hines.  When you add performance exhaust, you will undoubtedly get more throttle response and overall power from your motorcycle.  The one thing that many riders forget about, though, is that adding performance parts will require you to re-tune your bike.  Fuel injected Harleys do have an ECU (electronic control unit) that is programmed to deliver the correct air/fuel mixture for the stock bike, but it cannot compensate for aftermarket performance exhaust and air filter.  When a performance exhaust system is added, your motorcycle will run much leaner than it […]
