31 year old, Italian national, Valentino Rossi has been in the news a lot lately. Not only for his renowned dominance on the track but for his string of injuries and now new sponsorship.
Back in June Rossi broke his leg during the qualifier for the Italian Grand Prix. Being hurled into the air at 110 mph landing on one leg is going to do some damage. With an 8 – 12 week prognosis, fans were surprised to see him back on the track after 6 weeks, where he returned to the MotoGP in Germany to take 4th.
Today, Rossi faces a persistent shoulder issue, a result of an accident back in April. It appears to be up in the air right now, but fears are that the injury may cut his 2010 season short.
More news on the Rossi front indicates, that after being a part of the Yamaha team since 2004, Valentino will move to Ducati for the 2011 season.
