Reviews for Vance & Hines Chrome Big Shot Duals Exhaust System - 17925
not much on writing reviews but I just installed theses on my 2000 RK. What a big difference compared to my Samson fishtails. I wish i had these 10 years ago. perfect fit and great soundI would recommend this item to a friend.
Very Happy with my purchase
The pipes fit perfectly as I expected and sound great. the installation was pretty easy. The only issue I ran into is when installing the 353-P bracket the black and white picture made it very hard to tell which way to install the mounting post. I installed it backwards the first time and after trying to tighten the clamp down on it and it slipping off several times I realized it was backwards. Other than this I found following the instructions allowed me to install them myself. I replace a pair of Vance and Hines slip on mufflers with this project and it is definitely much louder. The sound isn't as deep as the other mufflers but I like it.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Big power duals
I love these pipes. Had them for about 2 years or 30K mi. The sound really came in about 500 miles after I put them on, the performance was instant and gets even better with time. You gotta get the fuel pak to really make them perform on any F.I. application. Use a lot of Lock-Tite to avoid rattles. pretty easy do it yourself install if you know your screw from your driver. Way more performance and less maintenance than the screamin eagle pipes I had. Also the Big Shots have smaller diameter but much better flowing mufflers. This allows my bags fit better. No crossover pipe keeps my right leg cooler now also!I would recommend this item to a friend.
This is my second set of Vance and Hines pipes, and they are all fantastic, but these are perfect. I put the quiet baffles in after doing some reading and the sound is great, horse power is better and the look is classic. Instal was simple but time consuming since the old system is hard to take off. Finish is very clean. My only complaint is that it sits right on the Right floorboard, but that will soon be fixed with some washers. If you want good sounding and good looking pipes look no further.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Why did I wait?
The pipes fit the bike prefectly my son and I had them on in about 2.5 hrs if we had to do it again it would take half that time. Sound is very nice,I would recommend this item to a friend.
Vance & Hines Big Shots True Duels was what the Dr. order. Improved HP and Gas Mileage. These pipes made my dresser sound like a dresser should! Thanks Vance & Hines and Thank you Dennis Kirk!!I would recommend this item to a friend.
Only one complaint.
Had a set of the short ones on my 04 springer and loved them. The new ones sound even better on the new 103 on my road glide. The only complaint is the O2 sensor 3/4 of the way down the pipe is exposed.I would recommend this item to a friend.
The Cure For The Stock Pipe Blues
Put these on my 2011 Ultra Classic as well as an Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage I and a Screaming Eagle Pro Race Tuner. I also swapped out the stock V&H baffles with some Big City Thunder Monster Baffles. I installed these and the rest of the parts listed above myself in about four hours or so (much faster if you have two people for exhaust install). I then took it to a mechanic buddy who tuned my race tuner. Not only did I get the sound that so many of use long for, I also got a gigantic leap in performance. My bike really hauls now and is much more enjoyable to ride. Be warned that people riding behind you may complain about the noise over time.I would recommend this item to a friend.
