My neighbors like them since they are relatively quiet at idle or low RPMs. Hit third with the raider and travel through your neighborhood without waking up everyone.
When you get on the throttle these pipes really wake up and are extremely loud. You will scare little kids. I've had kids cry and one even wet their pants when I rev'd it for them.
Fit and finish are of superior quality. Excellent performance especially when combining with LAC's Stealth Air kit. Will produce a legitimate 93-96 rear wheel horse power (dyno tested).
-Quality is not as good as factory, however the design is well thought out -fitment is very good.
-Sound is mellow at idle -not so when you accelerate -they are Very Loud-think of a machine gun hammering away from inside a steel drum. (I left the baffles installed).
I elected to wait until after installation and a good run in to decide about adding a fuel processor. So far there is no bluing of the pipes or backfiring. The stock pipes ran a little rich, these do the same. That said, you can probably get by without the processor on the Raider. There is, however, a noticeable loss of power at mid rpm -I attribute this to the removal of the factory exup valve, which is not needed with these pipes. Addition of a fuel processor should remedy the power loss, hopefully gaining over the factory setup.
-Finish: I gave 4 stars for finish because there was a blemish on the inside of the top pipe at the slash end.
