I was researching and comparing prices for cables to install my ape hangers. I looked locally and nationwide (i reside in UT, for the record). Locally, every price was outrageous! The local shops were talking me up to well over $290. One shop in particular was "seeing what they could do for [me]."
Instead of selling me cables that would be "custom made" and cheaper they pushing the baron stainless steel kit. While a great product, they were selling them for $310. I asked if they could price match, I know they are cheaper online at various shops. They went back and forth saying how they can't price match and that it would be impossible for those cables to be sold less than the bargain price they offered me.
Enter Dennis Kirk. I have read a lot about this company, and saw a few parts, I would likely buy in the future. So, I decided to check their site for the cables. Lo and Behold; they had the same cable kit for $250, not including tax and free shipping. The order was placed, and they called me within minutes to inform me there was a problem with my card being processed. And even though I missed the deadline for same day shipping, they offered that too me anyway as a way of apologizing for the delay in processing my order.
Overall, I would encourage you to check out denniskirk.com if you were in the same boat that I was while shopping for cables.
