I had originally purchased this saddlebag for myself, but it has turned out to be a great asset to our 7 year olds 4-wheeler. He carries his own snacks, water, camera, and action figures while we go riding. It's the perfect size for a day trip. It's extremely easy to install/remove. I would definitely recommend this saddlebag to all!!
WORKS JUST FINE ON MY 1981 XL 500 S. PERFECT FRO THOSE RIDES IN THE WOODS. SPACE FOR FISHING GEAR AND A DRINK BOTTLE. NOT JUST FOR ATV'S AS IT WAS LISTED IN THE CATALOG. MY ONLY GRIPE IS THE ZIPPERS THAT SEEM TO CATCH THE MATERIAL AROUND THE OPENING. RECOMMENDED AS A GOOD BUY.
This bag is okay, but nothing to get excited about. For an ATV it seems a bit too small. But for a dirt or dual sport bike it's about as large as would fit without getting in your way.
It is better than "nothing", which is what I had before. I test packed it with beer bottles (hey, they were handy) to see how many it would hold. It holds 4 bottles per side, plus one more in the drink holder.
It comes with a small piece of velcro which one half is intended to be adhered to the gas tank, but is inadequate and not much use if using on multiple bikes. I plan to add a layer of gripper cushion padding to the underside to protect the bikes and also to keep the bags from sliding & banging around while riding. Seems the mfg'er would have designed this part a bit better. Maybe straps or something to secure them better.
I'd say "For $20 what should I expect?", but I have seen some really nice bags lately for other purposes which are much nicer and pretty affordable. You know, school backpacks, laptop bags, etc.
It will serve the purpose fine, but I had considered ordering 2 or 3 more for our other bikes & maybe quad too if I was especially impressed with it. The one is enough. I will keep looking for better bags.
