Should come this way from the factory!
The amount of slop in the throttle of my "48" drove me crazy. Even after replacing my stock grips with new aftermarket grips, I could still wiggle the throttle up and down. This bearing works wonders! Why doesn't Harley install these at the factory? The directions say to cut a 1/2 inch off your bars. I suggest to test fit before cutting. I have aftermarket grips and only needed to remove 3/8 of an inch for perfect fitment with no more sloppiness. Throttle is smooooth!

THE best fix for throttle binding!
I have used this product on numerous occasions and highly recommended it. It is not difficult to install and well worth the time and $ spent; with the end result being a silky-smooth throttle that will never bind.

Works great
My PM grips were dragging on my street slammer handle bars real bad. Metal to metal. I installed these and the throttle was as smooth as butter. Make sure and measure how much you need to cut off the bars(if any) just don't do what the directions say!!! I didn't have to cut anything off my HD bars. This kit was well worth the money spent> Hands down a great product.

Excellent product
This is great. You need to use a bit of ingenuity based on the grip type you have but the end result is great. Cutting the bar was easy with a cut off wheel and I used some adhesive/filler to take up the gap between the bearing and the throttle grip as it was a little sloppy.

worked well on softail deluxe
I have a2012 softail deluxe with the Harley Davidson nostalgia grips it was a tight fit getting the bearing in the throttle grip but some wd-40 and a few taps with a socket ,the bearing slid in the grip I trimmed a half inch from the stock bar end and everything lined up perfectly. The throttle action is very smooth and has a refined feel to it.the only negative thing is the cost,25 dollars for a tiny bearing a screw and nut with washer and a piece of plastic in my opinion is a lot of money but it does work well.

if you are having trouble with a sticky throttle this is not the answer. having to cut 1/2 inch off your bars is not easy if you don't have a band saw. installing the polymer insert into the bars is difficult dry, even with lube. near impossible to seat it all the way. Even if you get all this done they do not help if anything they make the problem worse
