Do I need to run a heavy clutch spring with this kit or can I run the stock spring?

BEST ANSWER: I am running a stock spring and it performs well. My application is skills competition, so I slip the clutch a lot. Launch is smooth, and normal engagement compared to the stock clutch.
Do you need to run a specific oil for it?

BEST ANSWER: When I received this kit the paperwork recommended ATF, I was a little Leary of using such a thin oil in my primary- I called tech support and was told to go ahead and use the regular primary oil. So I put in 1 qt of primary oil and 4 oz of ATF as a blend. So far it’s working fine. I’ll be changing my primary oil next oil change to see how it looks then.
Do i need to remove the damper spring?

BEST ANSWER: I left mine in I did have troubles at first finding nutral but as the clutch wears in it has been a lot better.
Hello just bought this clutch. One friction plate is smaller does this go in first or is it the last one installed. Do I remove dampener spring n flat ring?

Great clutch!
This is a great clutch kit and it adjust and operates just like the stock clutch but has the extra plates. I installed this with a Barnett heavy duty clutch spring and is handles all the power I have with ease. Installed easy and works extremely well.

This clutch kit bites!!!
If you have any performance mods to your twin cam this clutch kit is the answer. There is a break-in period that is a little tricky though. You will need to make a few inner clutch adjustments as the new clutch breaks in. After break-in period is over the clutch works perfectly, and will hold up to high horse power without any slippage at all.
Now all of the screaming eagle horse power hits the ground!!
Replacing the stock open roller inner clutch bearing with a sealed one.

Excellent Clutch
The carbonite clutch kit is a perfect replacement for a tired clutch pack in any Harley. I ride a Electra glide police with cams and mild head work this clutch is smooth and holds all the torque!

Great for police skill competition
I ride long distance, around town, and also compete in police motorcycle skills competitions. So far this clutch is holding up very well. I installed it before my last competition and only had time to break it in with about 150 miles. Competed with it and have done a number of practice sessions. The clutch is still holding tight. I just got back from a 1500 mile road trip and have no issues to report. So far life on this clutch is exceeding my last HD clutch, so that's good too!
