I purchased this device for my wifes Road King. The device significantly increased the vibration of the bike. I contacted Alloy Art on several occasions only to be directed to loosen the stabilizer off. The more the stabilizer was loosened off the sloppier the ride got, to the point that the stabalizer was removed as it was not doing any good.
This stabilizer appears to work as advertised. The design was ingenious and the parts were easy to install. However, when you get to the final tightening, call the company's tech support. The procedure for the final adjustment of the heim joints was not detailed enough for a novice mechanic. Once you figure out what they are talking about it's easy enough to accomplish, but I hate to guess. The initial ride felt very stable and I had no hint of increased vibration.
I installed the TXR on my 2005 HD ultra classic, that has had a bad wobble since new. The TXR seemed to stiffen up the bike and at the same time add quite a bit of vibration to floor boards and foot pegs. Before I got a noticeable wobbel in corners and at 90 and above. I have taken it to 105 and seems to have improved stability. Although there is a trade off for everything, and in this case you get vibration for less wobble, each rider has to weigh the difference. For me it is and improvement and I will continue to raise the bar.
