Easy install
No surprises. New races tapped right in. Hardest part was removing the lower race on steering stem. BIG inprovement
in steering feel over 20yr old stock set up.

Great Upgrade
I put these in my 1974 CB550. I used the thinner of the two supplied spacers. I did use both upper and lower dust seals. You will need to fab 3/16" spacers at the top of the headlight ears though as the total stack keeps the top clamp 3/16" higher. I used PVC pipe cut to 3/16" rings on a bandsaw. You can find out more about this on forums for the SOHC4. Steering is now very solid, yet fluid. Makes the front end feel like a brand new bike. No regrets!

These bearings are a GREAT upgrade from stock steering head ball bearings. The kits I ordered for my to Honda CB's came with shims and dust seals. Good packaging and a good product. I highly recommend the upgrade.

Seals not correct
Bearings were correct but seals were not close to OEM, I reused my old seals, if you order this kit for a Vulcan 900 also order a set of OEM steering stem seals. The seals in kit may have worked but once you install the lower seal and bearing you have to destroy the bearing to get it back off, it is a press fit bearing. I didn't want to take a chance of new seal not working, did not look anything like OEM seal and was smaller outside diameter.

It's great that All Balls provides these bearings since they are not standard catalog bearing sizes. There wouldn't be much choice otherwise. The packaging could use a little instructions for people who haven't done this before. As far as tapered bearing supposedly solving your handling woes, you'll hardly notice the difference between these and stock ball bearings.

I found this modification easy to install and perfect fitment. installation was quick with no problems; instructions were basic and understandable! The difference it made in stability and control is amazing! I recommend this product to all twisted twin riders!

all balls steering head bearings
DK was quick with the shipping as always. The bearings cured the front end issue with ninja 250. These should be part of the maintenance planned replacement shortly after 1st oil change.
