Fork Mid USA Wide Tire Rear Fork Conversions for Big Twin: Manufacturer part # 29458 - By ordering the Rear Fork and the required Offset Kit (Part No. 58-8173) you can install a super wide rear tire and wheel without the cost of a wide tire frame. By using your OEM frame you will retain your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). 1" O.D. Axle is centerless ground and polished from heat treated 4130 steel for exact dimensions and maximum strength. Axle ends are camouflaged with polished aluminum caps that mount with hidden screws. Polished stainless steel paint protectors fit inside the rear fork to eliminate paint damage where the wheel/axle spacers touch the rear fork. A 3/8-24 threaded insert is welded to the inside of the rear fork to connect the brake torque reaction arm to the custom brakes. 1 1/2" tubing is made from .120" wall DOM steel and all components are TIG welded. Softail rear forks are designed to provide 1" lowered seat height. A 250mm tire may be used with the 230/240mm rear fork if a 530 non O-ring type chain is used. , , Required: , Extra Wide Wheel and Tire designed for a 1" O.D. axle. Custom Brake designed for a 1" O.D. axle. Extra wide Fender and Fender supports (permanently attached fender support mounts must be cut from OEM frame). 280/300mm tires require a 12" wide fender. All 280/300mm Rear Forks require a Right Side Drive (RSD) Transmission and custom exhaust. Slight clearancing may be necessary.. 29458
