Hourglass wear bar shape catches snow from ski sides to make steering more positive -- better tracking on ski trails. Turning radius is an average of 1 to 2 feet tighter in soft snow conditions. Weigh 20 percent less than conventional 1/2 in. diameter round wear bars. Zinc-plated for corrosion resistance.
