H14671 Mid USA 6-Speed Transmission Assemblies/Polished Case: Manufacturer part # 70315 - If you have ever been cruising along the highway and tried to shift up, only to find yourself in top gear, you need a 6-speed transmission. Reduce vibration at highway speed and improve fuel mileage -- at 75 mph, the .86:1 overdrive ratio will produce a 475 rpm reduction when shifting from top gear. 2.94:1 close-ratio first gear will add approximately 5 mph of useable first gear; second, third and fourth gear ratios are the same as OE. Access door is CNC-machined from A6061 T-6 billet aluminum. All gears are full-width for maximum torque applications and include back-cut dogs to improve shifting. Gears are machined from 8620 chromoly for strength. Include 32-tooth steel pulley Chrome-plated top cover, side cover and shifter rod lever. Cast cases in standard or polished finish. Provision for electronic speedometer sending unit. Ready to run, just install clutch cable and add oil. Clutch release pushrods included. Include 12-month manufacturers warranty and Manufacturers Statement of Origin. Speedometer calibrator required to adjust speedometer - part no. 407403. 70315

Features include a bolted-on inner guide ring and all surfaces (except the teeth) are meticulously polished inside and out. Design accents are machined on both sides of the pulley. Mounting holes have been counterbored for use with Allen bolts. We recommend Allen mounting bolts PART NO. H27-312, $21.99, from Colony for mounting 1 1/2 in. pulleys. When changing the final drive ratio with a different size rear pulley, an alternative length rear belt may be necessary.. 75398
