S&S Gear Drive Cams for Twin Cam 99-06 (except 06 Dyna models) 148889: Manufacturer part # 335165 - Gear drive camshaft kits increase valve timing accuracy in Twin Cam engines 99-06 (except 06 Dyna models) by eliminating timing chain lash and loosely-fit stock cam gears. Kits reverse the rear cam's direction of rotation and provide additional operating clearance between cam lobes; the result is that higher cam lifts are possible with the gear drive kit. Cams without any gears. To install S&S gear drive cams, material must be removed from the inner surface of the stock gear cover. Cam bearings and gaskets must be replaced when installing new cams. Also, a hydraulic press and other professional-level tools are required to install these kits. S&S recommends that adjustable pushrod/cover kit H14-335 be used. Made in the U.S.A..
